if you haven't visited the website illegalart.net for the "radiohead pay your own desired payment" download of girl talk new album, i highly suggest you stop what you're doing and do that. especially sus. it is so fucking good, next to new wolf parade which is good to me, it's about all i listen to. mixing nirvana with dee lite and all those 80's 90's classics. fucking amazing. go. go now.
Hard to pick, but here are ten great pictures from the last two years overseas...
^Camping at a waterfall near my house. I visited this place often; it's completely remote and wonderfully peaceful.
^My house in its final form on the day I left. I seriously doubt that I'll ever again live in a place as great as this one was.
^The center of my village, Baranga, when the morning milk co-op truck came on my last day there. Two staples shops (rice, fat, soap), two cafes (bread and tea only), a seamstress, and a corn grinding mill made up the economy. The electricity wires were installed while I was there but I never got to see it turned on.
^On top of Mt. Kenya, Christmas morning last year. ~16,350 ft. Best Christmas ever.
^Obligatory elephant photo. This was New Year's, as the shit was hitting the fan everywhere else.
^Camping at Maitei Hill, near Meru. About 9000 ft. up, above the clouds at night, Southwest-like stargazing.

this leaked over the past few weeks, if you didn't know. sub pop has been keeping it off the blogs, but i just went on slsk for the first time in decades and got it really easily.
it doesn't sound like the last album and it doesn't sound like their EPs, but it's interesting for sure. i instantly liked everything they put out before, but this seems like a grower, which i guess is good for them.
