sxsw day 2

this one'll be quick because I'm about to head out to a party. David Vandervelde is really awesome, sort of a 60s rock guitar guy with a kick fucking ass backing band. He's a studio musician from Chicago and has one huge unibrow. Cold War Kids were good, they suffered from the usual sxsw day show sound problems (this show was in an alley behind an art gallery), but they were good nonetheless. Midlake, really good. Then i ate some Migas and I played with this one girls dog and saw The Glass Family (good, from austin and definitely worth checking out), Zookeeper (bleh, guy who used to be i the gloria record is the singer), The Gulf of Mexico (they looooooove mission of burma but they are baaaaaaaaaaaad), Soundteam (awesome)
