new music
so i happened to illegally download some music recently. and one of the albums i downloaded was by a band called the acorn, have any of u guys heard of them?? it took a few listens to sink into the mood, but it's really good. it's a lot more adventurous than i was expecting. it's really nice and it makes me kind of want to have a girlfriend to share it with.

listening to in rainbows now. it's fairly strange when you download an album and the artists asks you more or less directly 'do you really think you should get this for free?'
it's a pretty neat experiment, i hope they share the results with the rest of the world at some point.
i've given radiohead or those collecting money using the name radiohead enough money in the last decade to say i can have this album for free this time around. it's fairly okay through the first listen. it's radiohead. they're good. next to pink floyd they were the best live show i've ever seen. well wait the flaming lips in a small venue was pretty fucking outstanding, except when someone fell off the balcony that was weird.
the new beirut album is fantastic. also the new aesop rock album is fantastic. also the new radiohead is fantastic. also i'm a little hungover. it's always somebody's fucking birthday isn't it.
i've heard good things about the new beirut album, if only i could find it somewhere..
i saw wilco perform last night, andrew bird opened and was fantastic. wilco was fairly boring, except on the yankee hotel foxtrot / summerteeth songs they played.
