Scratching the surface...

Hard to pick, but here are ten great pictures from the last two years overseas...

^Camping at a waterfall near my house. I visited this place often; it's completely remote and wonderfully peaceful.
^My house in its final form on the day I left. I seriously doubt that I'll ever again live in a place as great as this one was.

^The center of my village, Baranga, when the morning milk co-op truck came on my last day there. Two staples shops (rice, fat, soap), two cafes (bread and tea only), a seamstress, and a corn grinding mill made up the economy. The electricity wires were installed while I was there but I never got to see it turned on.

^On top of Mt. Kenya, Christmas morning last year. ~16,350 ft. Best Christmas ever.

^Obligatory elephant photo. This was New Year's, as the shit was hitting the fan everywhere else.
^Camping at Maitei Hill, near Meru. About 9000 ft. up, above the clouds at night, Southwest-like stargazing.

^Atop Mt. Sinai in Egypt.

^This side Laos, that side Thailand, the Mekong River in between.^Bonus stateside pic: Great Sand Dunes National Park in CO.

yup, that's my tent. camping in kenya was the ultimate in primitive camping... and it was usually free too!
