i just saw jeff mangum and julian koster perform 'engine' in the middle of the crowd, about 1m from where i was standing. it was quite impressive.

i saw them in new york. jeff didn't play engine then, and i think it's because some asshole was shouting out aeroplane song titles. but nonetheless it was an amazing show. good to see that guy coming out of his shell.
i still make myself listen to that stuff to understand what it means and how people like it so but it doesn't ever work but i'm still giving it a chance... but i don't get it at all... does nothing for me... so lately it's back to guns n roses
over the years, and after several periods of up and down and left and right personally, in the aeroplane over the sea has become so much better, and i absolutely loved it when i was 18 too. It's one of the few albums that I really think is deserving of every ounce of hype it gets.
