still absorbing. i was in hipster country for an election night party and it had the feeling of a big generational moment that we'll be telling our kids about, for better or worse. on one hand i think people were a little too excited, on the other i think it was more an expression of wrongs being right-ed than people thinking they just elected a savior. still doesn't feel real because i have been deeply involved in the obama campaign for about a year and a half now. its got me considering a career change into politics. let's just hope the country doesn't turn on him.

the crowds at Grant Park were amazing -- so happy but not obnoxious (probably because there was no booze sold in the park). very warm, cooperative, satified, and relieved. navigating through security was painless, and it was easy to make my way out when it was over.

I'm extremely grateful I was there!

I don't know anyone who thinks things are magically and immediately going to improve -- I think true Obama supporters know it's a long road ahead of us. but everyone I know feels like this weight has been lifted and we can start to move forward again.
